ABOUT
TRAINING THAT HOLDS UP IN REAL LIFE
Questline exists because capable, committed adults deserve a training system that works around their life — not one that collapses the moment things get complicated.
THE COACH BEHIND QUESTLINE
HI, I'M WILL WATTERSON
Hi, I’m Will Watterson. In addition to being a personal trainer I am a V11/8a boulderer, power lifter, trail runner, and World Champion obstacle racer.
Questline exists because I care deeply about physical capability — not as a performance identity, but as something that quietly supports the rest of life. Strength, fitness, and resilience shouldn’t feel like fragile projects that only work when everything else is going well.
That belief didn’t come from theory alone. It came from years of seeing how capable, committed adults are let down by training systems that ignore the realities of modern life. The issue is rarely effort or motivation. It’s structure. Most programmes ask people to train as if they have unlimited time, recovery, and attention — and then blame them when it falls apart.
I coach with a clear intention: to help people train intelligently, stay physically capable, and build strength and fitness that actually holds up — under work pressure, family commitments, stress, and change.
Climbing and OCR have been a significant part of my own life — not just as sports, but as ways of staying engaged with movement, problem-solving, and long-term progression. They keep me connected to the idea that physical capability is something you cultivate over time through patience, consistency, and respect for limits. That mindset carries directly into how I coach.
I’m not interested in selling anyone a fantasy version of fitness. I’m interested in helping people build a version that’s useful, resilient, and sustainable.

Questline is built on lived experience, clear principles, and a commitment to coaching that helps people become more capable — rather than more consumed — by training.
THE IDEA
BUILT FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO STAY CAPABLE
Questline exists to help busy adults build strength, fitness, and performance that actually lasts. Not for 6 weeks. Not until life gets busy again. Not only when motivation is high — but in a way that holds up through work, family, stress, imperfect weeks, and real life.
Most people do not need more intensity. They need a clearer system, better structure, and a way of training that fits the life they are actually living.
Your body should feel like an asset, not a problem to constantly fix.
THE PHILOSOPHY
Most people don't fail from lack of discipline. They fail because the system doesn't fit real life.
So the Questline approach is built around a different set of priorities.
Capability over aesthetics
Aesthetics are treated as a by-product of training well, not the entire point. We prioritise strength, conditioning, resilience, energy, movement quality, and long-term function. A body that performs better tends to feel better to live in.
Structure over willpower
Willpower is unreliable. A good system shouldn’t depend on high motivation every day. Questline is built around clear phases, repeatable routines, realistic progression, and simple decision-making — to reduce chaos, not add to it.
Longevity over intensity
Hard training is not the problem. Unrecoverable training is. Questline is designed to build momentum, protect recovery, support joints and connective tissue, and compound over time — to build something that still works years from now.

ABOUT THE NAME QUESTLINE

The name ‘Questline‘ stems from my love of role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons and Skyrim.
In role‑playing games, characters don’t become heroes overnight. They progress through questlines—structured paths of challenges, learning, and meaningful milestones that shape who they become.
Questline Coaching brings this idea to fitness and wellbeing.
Your journey starts with a clear picture of the person you want to be—stronger, healthier, more confident. From there, your training plan becomes your questline: a series of achievable steps designed to build skill, strength, and momentum over time.
Every workout is a mini‑quest.
Every challenge is a chance to level up.
Every milestone moves you closer to your personal legend.
Questline Coaching exists to help you turn intention into action—and action into lasting change, one quest at a time.
